Sustainable Development Goals and Islamic Social Finance: From Policy Divide to Policy Coherence and Convergence

This study aims to show how Islamic social finance (ISF) instruments can contribute achieving SDGs and filling the gaps in pressing humanitarian crises, such as refugee protection. ISF institutions enjoy sufficient financial capacity bridge realize most relevant urgent SDGs. However, due policies other constraints, their participation international development aid programs is limited. Accordingly, this explores existing policy divide between Western countries regarding use of Faith-Based funds programs. Through case studies, demonstrates that have potential at national levels mobilize resources support marginalized groups society various countries.
